As a member of the House of Delegates, I
will work to:
Promote volunteerism
on the part of individuals, families and community leaders to support youth-based activities
Encourage government entities to partner with community groups and other not-for-profits to share facilities
and resources that will provide a foundation for youth development and sports
Fund programs and capital projects that are aimed at furthering the growth, education and development of Maryland's
young people
Position
With his background in leading youth sports and youth
activities, Jeff wants programs that create a positive growth environment for our young people to be one of his top priorities.
We must cultivate a safe, supervised, structured environment for our youth for the purposes of recreation, education and socialization.
In this atmosphere, we must also offer resources for education, community services, career advice and at-risk youth
support.
He believes that by establishing this environment, it will result in three significant benefits:
Promotes
healthy choices and anti-drug/alcohol/violence messages
Demonstrates and develops good character, leadership, and
citizenship traits
Encourage civility, tolerance and respect for self and for others
